Malware are software programs that are
designed especially for damaging the system. These programs are malicious codes
which include worms, viruses and Trojan horse. These are destructive tool that
spreads worms which is transmitted though emails and instant messages, web
sites and through virus infected files. It seeks and exploits the
vulnerabilities of the system. Malware are created making profit though forced
advertisements (adware), stealing sensitive information stealing (spyware),
extort money (ransomware). These factors make the PC more vulnerable to malware
attacks including defects in computer system.
Symptoms
of computer infection-
- There will frequent error messages “Internet Explorer could not display the page” when any website is attempting to start.
- The web browser freezes or hangs up.
- The web browser home page changes.
- Security related websites is inaccessible.
- Redirects the users search results to malicious sites.
- Unexpected and strange toolbars appear at the top of the browser.
- Computer starts to run slowly and hangs up and freezes again and again.
- The computer restarts by itself.
- Unusual error messages are generated that says messages, missing or corrupt files folders.
- Open the emails or attachments that come from trusted sources.
- Scan the email attachments before opening them by the help of anti-malware tools.
- Scan all the files with the help of internet security solutions before transferring them on the system.
- Do not click on un-trustful web links.
- Keep your security patches up to date.
- Keep your firewall on always.
